Mazi Mobility

Big Idea:
E-mobility infrastructure in Kenya

A moped’s two-stroke motor pollutes the air more than a diesel truck. Mazi Mobility aims to reduce carbon emissions and air pollution from light vehicles in Africa by accelerating the transition to clean, affordable transportation. They assemble, finance, and sell electric motorbikes, and then offer a distributed network of battery-swapping stations for their EVs.

Jesse is the founder and CEO of Mazi Mobility, an entrepreneur, a thinker, and a sustainability nut. An avid consumer of National Geographic, he has had a keen interest in nature since he was young. He has worked in water and sanitation, food, and now energy and sustainable mobility.
