Conserve Global

Big Idea:
Concession protection in Sub-Saharan Africa

Conserve Global protects ecosystems across Africa by focusing on conservation management in key concession areas outside of national parks. They secure the concession by setting up a governance structure, engaging the community, and detecting and stopping illegal activity. They also manage the landscape, support wildlife recovery, and develop enterprises, including tourism, rural small businesses, and carbon credits.

Andrew has over 25 years of experience advancing conservation in Africa. Prior to founding Conserve Global, he was Vice President of Strategy and Programs for Africa at Conservation International. He has also served as CEO of Welgevonden and the Sabi Sand Private Nature Reserves in South Africa before joining African Parks as Operations Director and then as Conservation Director.
