Terrasos

Big Idea:

Terrasos restores and protects threatened habitats. Colombian companies are required to offset major infrastructure, mining, oil and gas projects with investments in conservation: Terrasos has established a “habitat bank” to make it easy for that offset money to go to high-value habitat.

Mariana has worked for the Ministry of Environment in Colombia and the Wildlife Conservation Society. She also consulted for the World Bank and World Wildlife Fund. She has a Bachelors in Political Science and Environmental Studies from Tulane University and a Masters from Yale’s School of Forestry.
