Big Idea:
Community-led conservation in Tanzania

Honeyguide empowers people and communities to protect their land and natural resources to mutual benefit. They train local leaders to improve governance, management, and resource planning while de-escalating instances of human-wildlife conflict to shift community perceptions of wildlife. And to ensure that communities benefit from their efforts, they ensure livelihoods are at the center of community conservation.

Sam has progressed through the ranks of Honeyguide since joining in 2015. His passion lies in leveraging technology and innovative business approaches to improve conservation outcomes, particularly in community-led initiatives. With a BSc in Wildlife Management from Sokoine University and an MBA for conservation leaders from the African Leadership University, Sam combines his academic prowess and experience to drive impactful change in the African conservation landscape.
