Disease spreads rapidly in settings like slums that lack hygienic sanitation. Diarrheal disease alone kills 1.6M children every year. Fresh Life has taken a system approach to solving this problem, from designing and franchising a great toilet facility to collecting the waste and converting it into products like fertilizer and energy. Fresh Life is focused on making hygienic sanitation a community-wide behavioral norm and, as far as we know, is the only kind of solution that has the potential to solve the health crisis.
