Barry Finette

THINKMD

Big Idea:

THINKMD developed a health diagnostic tool – it’s 85% as accurate as a doctor and they get community health workers (through partner INGOs) to use it and deliver better health outcomes.

Barry is an MD; he teaches medicine and directs the Global Health program at the University of Vermont. He’s spent more than 25 years in a dozen developing countries working in emergency medicine, global health, and humanitarian assistance. He saw again and again that poor people and their kids would fall sick or die from illnesses that were easy to diagnose, treat, and cure. He decided to solve the problem and founded THINKMD to gain accurate data to power a diagnostic tool that any CHW can use to deliver better care everywhere.
