Big Idea:
Smallholder one-stop-shop in Bangladesh

Millions of smallholder farmers in Bangladesh lack access to resources that can help them prosper. iFarmer provides smallholders access to finance, inputs, and markets in one tech platform. The platform connects farmers to commercial lenders. They partner with companies to sell high-quality inputs to farmers, while iFarmer agents provide advisory. Finally, the platform also connects farmers to buyers directly.

Fahad has ~10 years of experience working in agriculture and rural economic development. He has worked extensively in South Asia, designing and managing projects to improve the conditions of the poor. Prior to starting iFarmer, Fahad was managing a multimillion-dollar project in Myanmar to improve smallholder farmer access to finance and markets. He was an Acumen Fellow in 2021 and UNDP Transformer in 2020. He has an MSc and BBA in Economics.
