These days, everyone has a phone, even smallholder farmers. Farmerline makes the most of that to modernize and simplify the way smallholder farmers access information, finance and markets. They design action plans for farmers and connect farmers to affordable, quality services — from the right inputs to the best extension agents — all through a farmer’s mobile phone.
Alloysius was raised on a small farm in Ghana and grew up to become a software developer. In 2013 he launched Farmerline, a platform to help farmers leverage technology and information to become much more successful. Alloysius has been selected as one of Forbes Africa 30 under 30 winners, an Echoing Green Fellow, and a laureate of the King Baudoin African Development Prize. He earned a Bsc in Natural Resource Management from the Kwame Nkrumah' University of Science and Technology.
