UDUMA

Big Idea:
Sustainable water utilities for rural areas

UDUMA provides safe water for all through their operation and maintenance of financially sustainable rural water systems. They engage communities to ensure their commitment to a fee-based water system. UDUMA partners with national or regional authorities to ensure water access for even the most remote, rural areas, then builds or refurbishes various types of water points and trains local technicians to maintain them.

Mikael has over a decade of private sector experience in the management of rural water infrastructures, service delegation contracts, long-term project development, and private-public collaboration, including years of expatriation in both Africa and Asia. He holds an MSc in agricultural economics and an executive certificate in Corporate Finance. He joined UDUMA in 2018 to lead and shape its business model.
