Alex is our Communications Manager. He joined Mulago in 2017 to work on operations, build up our communications, and support our fellows. He's coached dozens of our fellows to clearly and simply convey their work in a way that captivates audiences.
Previously, he’s worked as a teacher, restaurant manager, photographer, and had a stint working in venture capital at Base10, an early stage firm partnering with tech entrepreneurs who are bringing automation to traditional sectors of the economy and now have over $2B AUM.
Prior to Mulago, he did the Peace Corps in The Gambia and studied Development Practice at UC Berkeley and Education and Economics at the Institute of Education at University College London.
When he’s not thinking about comms, he’s either curled up reading with his two cats or playing football.
