Sanku makes nutrient fortification easy and free for millers. They developed a device—a dosifier—that bolts onto small and medium mills and automatically adds micronutrient premix to every bag of flour. Sensors in the device allow remote monitoring and quick repairs. Millers pay for premix but Sanku provides cheaper bags, which means zero net cost for millers.
All mills buy and use dosifiers, so all flour is fortified.
Fortification is proven science (it's the norm in rich countries) and Sanku’s dosifier makes it automatic and affordable. Moreover, it happens at the local mills where people actually get their flour. Sanku has cracked the small and medium mill segment—they're on their way towards market saturation in Tanzania and are expanding to much bigger mills in Ethiopia and beyond. They’ve made big progress on the government mandates that will drive uptake and revenue. This is smart, effective, and ready for scale.
