How It Works
They adapt proven youth interventions, develop new ones, codify the best for scale. To drive the process, they have developed a distinctive rapid iteration and evidence approach they call "Randomized Impact Assessments." This approach has produced "Choices" (HIV prevention), "Teaching at the Right Level" (individualized learning), and "ConnectEd" (mobile-based tutoring). Solutions are developed with governments and proven interventions become part of national systems.

Youth Impact has become a remarkable—and exemplary—lab for the development and scaling of high-impact interventions for youth. All three of their programs have rigorous evidence of impact: Choices cuts risky sexual behavior by 50%; TaRL closes over half of learning gaps; and ConnectEd delivers a year of additional learning gains. They're not just scaling solutions; they're scaling an innovation methodology
