Principal
Sanat joined Mulago in 2024 as a Principal on the Fellows team.
Prior to Mulago, Sanat was a Manager at Dalberg — a social impact advisory firm — where he worked on everything from economic mobility to housing to general non-profit strategy. He's also worked on projects advising big funders like the Gates Foundation, USAID, and Mastercard Foundation. Prior to that, he was the Chief Strategy Officer at La Casa Norte, a housing nonprofit based in Chicago.
Sanat got his MBA from the Kellogg School of Management and a BA in Economics from UC Berkeley. He’s worked with Sesame Street, the Mayor’s Office of Chicago, Digital Green and Chicago Public Schools along the way. In his spare time, Sanat helps run a chess club, enjoys beautiful hikes followed by tasty burritos, reads intergenerational family stories, and is an unfortunately loyal Chicago Bulls fan.
